Irving Edelman---I can still remember his history class at Central High School. He "lit a fire" in all of us privileged to be in his classes. That fire and interest in history still lives with me today---56 years later. He was certainly my favorite teacher in my years at Central and my family has heard this so many times! I'm sure he was "tops" to most of his students. Memories of his sense of humor, his knowledge, his joy of teaching, his interest in athletics especially basketball and his sincere caring and interest in his students----these memories can never be erased and will be treasured by me, his students, his fellow teachers, his basketball teams and most of all, his family who shared so many wonderful years with him.
